We are incredibly proud to announce that our Elite Warriors 12U team has won the Pennsylvania State Championship after an undefeated tournament run!

The Journey to Victory

The tournament began on Friday with a commanding 65-42 victory over the Pittsburgh Pioneers. Our defense was exceptional, holding them to under 30% shooting in the first half. Michael Johnson led the team with 18 points and 8 rebounds, while Sarah Mitchell added 12 points with her signature three-point shooting.

Saturday's semifinal game tested our resolve. Against the Erie Eagles, we found ourselves down 10 points at halftime. This is where the character we've been building all season shone through. The team rallied together, played disciplined defense, and executed our offensive sets perfectly. A 22-4 run in the third quarter put us ahead for good, finishing 58-51.

Championship Game Excellence

Sunday's championship game against the Harrisburg Hawks was everything we hoped it would be - a showcase of fundamental basketball at its finest. Our players demonstrated everything we've worked on:

• Disciplined team defense holding the Hawks to 38% shooting
• Patient offensive execution with 18 assists on 23 made baskets
• Dominant rebounding, outrebounding them 42-28
• Zero turnovers in the fourth quarter when it mattered most

The final score of 62-47 doesn't fully capture the dominance our kids showed. This wasn't just about talent - it was about preparation, discipline, and commitment to doing things the right way.

More Than a Trophy

While the championship trophy will hold a special place in our gym, what I'm most proud of is HOW these kids won. They played team basketball. They communicated. They showed up early for every practice. They held each other accountable. They respected the process.

This is what we mean when we say we're building more than basketball players - we're building champions in life.
